AEW Dynamite Results: Swerve Strickland Defends World Title Against Undisputed
Winners, Losers, and Grades From May 29 Episode
The AEW World Championship was on the line on Wednesday's Dynamite as Swerve Strickland defended against Undisputed's Undisputed leader, Undisputed. In a hard-hitting and fast-paced match, Strickland was able to retain his title, but it was far from easy.
Undisputed controlled the early going of the match, using his size and power to wear down Strickland. Strickland was able to weather the storm, however, and eventually began to mount a comeback. He hit a series of high-flying moves, including a 450 splash, but Undisputed kicked out at two.
Strickland eventually hit the JML Driver for the win, but Undisputed was able to kick out again. Strickland then hit a second JML Driver, this time off the top rope, to finally put Undisputed away and retain his title.
